Botox & Fillers

The Botox treatment takes about 10 to 15 minutes. This procedure involves using tiny needle injections that are gently infused in the skin to relax muscles responsible for causing wrinkles on the face.

Complimentary Consultation by Dr. Harris.

The treatment plan is devised and customized by Dr. Luke Harris for each patient individually. Dr. Harris sits with you and discusses your treatment needs and goals. He identifies the points of injections and devises a proper treatment plan to achieve a long-lasting and desired result.

Areas of Treatment Botox Cosmetic can be used to treat:

• Frown lines between the eyebrows

• Wrinkles on the face and neck

• Eyebrow lift Perioral wrinkles (lines around the mouth)

• Crow’s feet (lines formed around the corner of your eyes)

• Laugh lines Forehead lines

Men and women between the ages of 18 to 65, who want to remove deep frown lines and tough wrinkles on their face and neck and wish to restore their youth, are all good candidates for Botox Cosmetic treatment. However, there are certain factors that need to be kept in consideration before the treatment is offered. These include: your skin condition and elasticity, medical history, and allergic reactions to dermal fillers.

Dr. Harris has a busy facial surgery practice.  As such he has expert knowledge of facial anatomy, tissue planes, and the location of critical blood vessels and nerves.  This is important to avoid complications with dermal filler injections, which are more complex than botox injections.  Dr. Harris has been performing dermal filler injections for 6+ years and is the only certified specialist of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada performing these treatments in
North Bay.

How do dermal fillers work?

The product is a clear gel that is injected under the skin to prop up a wrinkle or area of volume loss. Dr. Harris uses hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a natural gel in the skin, and is depleted with age. Hyaluronic acid products provide a natural feel and consistency.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Dermal fillers last longer than botox. Depending on the product and the facial location, dermal fillers can last from 9 months to up to two years.

Where are dermal fillers most effective?

The most common and effective areas are the lips (volume and definition), cheeks (cheekbone contour), nasolabial folds (folds that join the corner of the mouth to the side of the nose), marionette lines (lines that join the corner of the mouth to the sides of the chin), and tear trough (hollow between eyelids and cheek).

What can I expect during a treatment?

As the product is a gel, the treatment is a little more involved than botox. As such, Dr. Harris uses a prescription numbing cream prior to the injections. The dermal fillers also have freezing embedded within them, which takes effect soon after the product is injected.

How much does dermal filler cost?

The consultation is free. Dr. Harris uses a hybrid pricing model taking into account the amount of product used and the facial location treated. For detailed pricing information, please contact the office.
